1. The Background Research, Design Ideation, Target

Background

I discovered a small phenomenon in life. We often forget to eat the cleaned fruit after putting it on the fruit plate. Some people were interrupted while eating fruit because of some other things, and then， they forgot to eat the remaining fruit on the fruit plate.

But the washed fruits are more prone to spoilage after being left for a long time, and people will miss the best time to taste it. For example, for apples, people take a bite of an apple and then place it on the fruit plate. After a short period of time, although the surface of the fruit does not seem to rot or deteriorate, we are not sure whether the skin and inside of the fruit have grown bacteria.

Most of people will choose to throw away or eat only a small part of it when they see "washed fruits forgot to eat after a long time. Only a small number of people are willing to eat the leftover fruits directly. So in order to avoid this unnecessary waste, we should eat the washed fruit as soon as possible.

Analysis

I analyzed people's motivation to eat fruit, the time when the fruit deteriorated, and the psychological changes of people after the fruit goes bad. The relationship between these factors and the product operability.

I have observed the role that people’s perception of the ‘Fruit Historical Trajectory’ plays in ‘reminding oneself to eat fruit’.

We forget to eat the fruit on the plate because we cannot perceive its historical trajectory in a short period of time. If there is an alarm clock to remind me after a period of time, I know that it is time to eat fruit or the fruit will spoil. The function of the alarm clock is like showing the shelf life of the fruit. Or when we see fruit rot, the historical trajectory of the fruit will also be revealed.

I think there should have others better ways to visualize the historical trajectory of fruits and remind people to eat fruits.

Target

-1 Make the historical trajectory of the fruit visible when it is on the fruit plate

-2 Solve the problem that people often forget to eat fruit.

Circuit: Force Sensitive Resistor , Tilt Sensor , Servo Motor *2 , Buzzer ， Electric

soldering iron.

Handmade：Paper , Ruler , Scissors , Glue , Screwdriver , Paint .

4. Practice soldering skills

When I first used an electric soldering iron for soldering, I reversed the board to be soldered, and the solder core could not be fixed on the stripboard.

At the same time, I noticed that if the chip needs to be soldered, it is best to use a glue gun to fix it on the front.

I tried to find the soldering skills. As you can see from the picture, I practiced soldering on each individual small hole many times, but I cannot control the amount of the heated solder core dripping on the small hole.

After an afternoon of practice, I found the welding skills. First, I need to put the solder core on the soldering iron to heat up some liquid, and then drop a small amount of liquid on the soldering iron onto the small holes of the stripboard.
